Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Hi there!

‍We are looking for a motivated and curious individual to join our team and start working on an  interesting international project in the blockchain industry. 

As a Senior QA engineer you will work with a fast-growing FinTech startup from the UK. The product allows other FinTechs, Banks and Payment Providers to connect to the blockchain, adopt digital and crypto currency solutions and profit from decentralization. 

You will have an active part in the ongoing development of the crypto service platform alongside the existing team of engineers and hunt bugs, identify issues, report them, and make sure that they’re dealt with.‍

You will be responsible for:

  • Create test frameworks to ensure the platform is rigorously tested prior to release
  • Write UI/Integration automation tests
  • Operate in Docker/Kubernetes ecosystem
  • Help create automated API checks, write and maintain API tests using tools such as Postman
  • Acknowledging possible difficulties/issues in future features before the actual development
  • Defining acceptance criteria for tests. Prioritizing, estimating and planning testing activities
  • Identifying bugs and issues, reporting them and verifying that they are resolved
  • Communicating with other QA Engineers, developers and product managers in order to ensure quality throughout the product development lifecycle

Required skills

  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools and processes
  • Very good understanding of testing methodologies including UAT, system, integration and regression testing
  • Experience in the use of test management and defect tracking tools
  • Demonstrate a good level of understanding of web applications architectures
  • Software development experience, preferably with NodeJS/ Typescript
  • Ability to write effective test cases and specify requirements
  • Be able to own and improve the software quality of each build, by promoting quality principles and best practices
  • Strong manual exploratory testing skills
  • Ability to identify areas of the product that require tests
  • Excellent logic and problem-solving abilities
  • Critical thinking
  • Fluency in the English language (verbal & written) - Sorry Yoda, no way around this one!
  • Willingness to help and share your knowledge with your teammates and learn from them
  • Previous experience in working within an agile team of developers is a bonus
