Having worked with a range of entrepreneurs over the years, we have identified two distinct schools of thought when it comes to building MVPs. One emphasises the importance of impact and aims to achieve customer enchantment. The other emphasises learning and sees the product as a research tool to generate insight. Neither of these approaches on their own, however, seems to produce product greatness. In this webinar, you’ll learn how to balance your efforts to achieve both impact and learning, and with that, delight your customers.

The ability to build fast and learn fast is a key competitive advantage, especially in times of uncertainty. While there are no great products without a strong vision, every assumption needs to be tested to avoid the “if you build it, they will come” fallacy. Learn how to use tools and processes from design thinking, design sprints and lean product development to close your learning cycle - fast. Remember, the faster you iterate, the faster you gain insights and improve your chance of winning. This approach is not new, entrepreneurs such as Jeff Bezos and others all having embraced the need for speed years ago, but the enmeshing of tools and techniques is, and this is the first time we’ll be sharing it publicly.
Once you fill out your business ideation canvas and conduct customer interviews you should have a good understanding of what the problem is. At this point you are eager to start designing and developing your product. What often happens is that the “learning mindset” is interchanged for the “let’s build mindset”. Let’s build in isolation for the next 3-6 months and then release our perfect product to the world. While this approach seems fast, as it creates a sense of ‘busyness’ it is often misdirected and most times ends in products that lack both attractiveness and utility for the customer. Such a learning cycle is costly and can have a detrimental effect on your ability to continue with your venture. But how do you shorten that and still produce a visible result? You should open up to customer insights and high velocity testing of your prototype from the outset.
The webinar will take 45 minutes, followed by a 15 min Q&A session. If you have any specific questions or topics that you would like Primož to address in the webinar, feel free to connect with him on LinkedIn prior to the webinar.
