Here's what some of the attendees had to say about the webinar ...

About the webinar

Having a reliable and well organised recruitment process that at the same time delights candidates is crucial in this day and age in order to be competitive in the tech hiring field and hire exactly the right people for your company, projects, and culture. At d.labs, we’ve been refining our process for the whole of our 10-year existence and we have managed to set up a system that we are pretty proud of. When we became a distributed company some months ago, this process went through another refinement and became remote or in some cases remote-first, just like our workflow did.In this webinar, we will walk you through our tried&trusted recruitment process for hiring developers, product people, and other tech profiles. We will present our principles, such as “team players before A players”, “culture fit before skills” and explain how we managed to shift our recruitment process into the remote setting while succeeding in retaining its reliability and continuing to get great feedback from candidates.

Key learnings

  • How to design a hiring process that enables best results in the crazy field that is tech recruitment
  • Why culture&team fit beat experience&knowledge when recruiting top tech talent
  • How to do culture fit right
  • How to shift your recruitment process into the remote setting while retaining its value&reliability
  • How to delight candidates, even when they are not the one for the job

About the speaker

Katarina’s primary focus is on organisational culture & people development, as her passion lies in supporting organisations and people to grow. She is an advocate for transparent communication, inclusion and authenticity at work. After obtaining a Master’s degree in Psychology, she started her career path in HR consulting, working with companies that differed in size and market, focusing on projects such as culture, leadership development, recruitment and implementation of HR systems. She always felt most at home in the tech field, so she sailed into startup waters first as Strategic HR Manager for a blockchain startup and later becoming a part of the d.labs team. On the topic of shifting HR processes into the remote setting, check out her article on our blog: Lessons we learned as a newly remote company.
